Buying a medical plan is often a complex and frustrating effort for diabetics due to the seriousness of the illness.  Worry no more.

Allianz Life Insurance Malaysia Berhad’s brand new Allianz Diabetic Essential is especially designed for diabetics. The medical plan offers those with type 2 diabetes a chance to get medical coverage and make living with diabetes less of a struggle.

With Allianz Diabetic Essential, type 2 diabetics who do not have a medical plan can start getting one while those who already have a medical plan have the opportunity to top-up their current coverage.

“We at Allianz believe that every Malaysian out there deserves to have better medical coverage. If so many Malaysians are in need of good medical coverage, we want to offer them that lifeline,” said Joseph Gross, Chief Executive Officer of Allianz Life Insurance Malaysia Berhad during the launch today.

Allianz Diabetic Essential is the company’s latest product offered to provide customers the best protection from A to Z.  It offers Comprehensive Medical Coverage with a choice of four medical plans that will help cover the cost of hospitalisation and surgery, Intensive Care Unit, obtaining a second medical opinion and more.

For those seeking medical care beyond hospitalisation, the plan provides access to outpatient treatment for cancer, kidney dialysis, dengue and enteric fever treatment as well as emergency accidental out-patient treatment.

It also offers health screening benefits with an annual HbA1c blood test, kidney function test, lipid profile as well as medical examination and full urine examination. To encourage customers to improve their health, they will also enjoy annual premium discounts of up to 40% for improving and maintaining their health.

Being diagnosed with diabetes changes one’s life forever and Allianz Diabetic Essential goes beyond just supporting good health. It encourages overall improved health and wellbeing.

“A very important point I want to highlight to all of you is that today’s launch is far more than a new product in the market for diabetics. We are taking it one step further by teaming up with Advance Medical to spearhead a Diabetes Care Programme for our customers where a licensed physician will be assigned to our customers as their very own personal health advisor,” added Gross.

With Allianz Diabetic Essential and the recently launched Allianz 3H cover, Allianz Malaysia is working together with medical experts from Cardiac Vascular Sentral Kuala Lumpur, Columbia Asia, Pantai Hospitals and Gleneagles Hospitals in building an ecosystem that protects, educates and nourishes Malaysians.

“I cannot stress this enough when I say that, at Allianz Life, protection is our business, but we are very much more invested in enhancing the quality of life of Malaysians out there. That is why it was so important for us to come up with products that will protect and serve Malaysians the best way we can,” added Gross.
