GoCar Malaysia and Shell Malaysia celebrate the partnership by announcing the availability of the car sharing service at 100 Shell stations across Klang Valley, Johor Bahru and Penang. The partnership aims to enhance the journeys of Malaysians by providing them added convenience for their travel options.

The partnership is in line with both companies’ commitment in making life’s journeys better for all Malaysians. Customers can now pick up their GoCar at a selected Shell station, in addition to fuelling up with Shell fuels and grabbing their favourite treats from Shell Select.
The CEO of GoCar Malaysia, Alan Cheah shared the inspiration behind the collaboration, "GoCar started out with the focus of providing an alternative solution to the current transportation landscape in Malaysia. We are here to offer convenience and flexibility to users that need cars for various activities; be it commuting, running errands, or a road trip to Penang. We want to make owning a car, an option. Through this partnership, we can provide further convenience to our users. They can now enjoy the offering at Shell stations - from the quality fuels to the food and beverages."
Shairan Huzani Husain, Managing Director of Shell Malaysia Trading Sdn Bhd and Shell Timur Sdn Bhd further added, “Here at Shell, we are always striving to innovate our products and services to ensure that our customers leave the stations happy and satisfied. Our collaboration with GoCar is first of its kind that enables us to offer all Malaysians an additional service under one roof – customers can now refuel, refresh, rejuvenate and enjoy the convenience of picking up a GoCar before they start their journeys.”

The local car-sharing platform allows users to rent cars by the hour or day via the GoCar smartphone application, which can be downloaded from the App Store (for iOS users) or the Google Play Store (for Android users). GoCar’s fleet consists of a variety of car models from sedans, crossover SUVs, MPVs to pickup trucks, catering to customers’ different types of journeys. Customers who book a GoCar via the app will also appreciate the convenience of vehicle maintenance and basic insurance included in the rates.

To celebrate this milestone, GoCar and Shell are rewarding Malaysians with an exclusive promotion from 16th October until 15th December 2018 at 30 selected Shell stations. Customers can now enjoy 50% off their GoCar booking, discount capped at RM30 when they spend a minimum of RM5 (for all items excluding Touch ‘n Go reload, mobile reload, and tobacco). Additionally, customers can redeem one (1) can of Coca-Cola at RM1.50 when they pick up their GoCar at the Shell stations.
