Dengue is a viral disease transmitted by mosquitoes, causing sudden flu-like illness or fever and acute pains in the joints. It is a very common case in Malaysia with an increase prevalence in the urban and suburban areas. Last year alone, more than 75,000 dengue cases were detected which included 166 fatalities.
