Being newbies ourselves, these are some that we would like to share after testing it out.
WHAT DO I DO?
After you have published or done changes to you blog / website, You will definitely want it to be known on worlds search engines and blog registries, that there is an update on the blog / website.
WHY DO I NEED TO DO THAT?
Waiting for your site to be found, will take weeks or months. So it's not wrong to an online tool to assist you.
SO HOW DO GET MY SITE BE FOUND FAST
Ping your sites. It's much quicker to do it this way. Ping send notifications to search engines or directories that there is something updated.
WILL THIS IMPROVE MY TRAFFIC
In a way yes.
HOW TO PING A WEBSITE
We have tried several and these are our favourites. You can try them yourselves as well.

- http://pingomatic.com/
- http://pingmyblog.com/
- http://www.bulkping.com/
Of course it doesn't give you the result immediately. Give it some time, and you will see the changes soon.
But please remember too many Pings can be penalized by Google. It may affect your site though. We normally do it 2 days once but you can try them once a day.
