THE KUALA LUMPUR JOURNAL TREATS UNDERPRIVILEGED CHILDREN TO IFTAR MEAL

Hotel hopes first ever CSR, will inspire other communities to do more

In the true charitable spirit of Ramadan, The Kuala Lumpur Journal hotel in Bukit Bintang, invited children from Pusat Jagaan Kasih Murni to a simple yet meaningful breaking of fast with staff of the hotel. The KL Journal Hotel hosted its first Iftar for this community home and their caretakers, which saw a total of 42 invitees. Some bloggers and media representatives were also seen.

These children feasted on meticulously prepared dinner and drinks by the highly qualified KL Journal chefs. The children were also given “duit-raya” by the Hotel management team.

“The Kuala Lumpur Journal Hotel is committed to making the lives of the less fortunate a little easier and worth living. We organised this Iftar because we believe it’s part of our responsibility of nurturing new leaders and feeding not only covers the stomach but the heart too; and The Kuala Lumpur Journal hotel advocates this strongly. Being in the hospitality business, this is in-sync with our core values and we believe it’s an honourable cause considering these children need our support to grow”, said The Kuala Lumpur Journal Hotel General Manager Mr. Ramesh Singh.

“We are very happy to always have gatherings such as this because it makes us feel very proud when we see these children and their happy smiles. We shall continue giving the best service to our customers and we encourage everyone to come and experience our services”, quipped Director of Marcom, Ms. Sharmila Rajeswaran.
