AIRASIA UNVEILS 9 SPECIAL TRAVEL 3Sixty° MAGAZINE COVERS TO CELEBRATE 9TH SKYTRAX WIN

AirAsia’s inflight magazinetravel 3Sixty° has unveiled nine special covers for its August issue to celebrate the airline’s ninth Skytrax Award. The special covers were unveiled by Datuk Kamarudin Meranun, publisher of the award winning magazine, who is also the Executive Chairman of AirAsia Berhad and AirAsia X Group CEO. As the people’s airline, the covers feature nine AirAsia Allstars (employees) from various departments across the region to reflect AirAsia’s vibrant and dynamic workforce who work as one to drive AirAsia to greater heights.

The covers, which also carry the hashtag #oneairasia, focus on how AirAsia makes wishes come true by empowering people to take control of their destinies. The Allstars who graced the August covers are Muneera Pozie, Ramp Agent (Malaysia);Suwapich Wongwiriyawanich, Pilot (Thailand); Kazuhide Yoshikawa, Desktop Support Specialist (Japan); Eva Emelia Hanaffi, Guest Service Agent (Singapore), David Stephenson, Senior Station Manager (Australia), Maulana Hidayat Rusdi, Branding & Creative Executive (Indonesia) and Mary Anne Dimalanta, Cabin Crew (Philippines), Neha Singh, Engineer (India) and Sandy He Jianxin, Head of Social Media & Content (China).

The cover story for the August issue highlights how the airline empowers people to turn their dreams into destiny. AirAsia does this via sport sponsorship for promising athletes, coaching clinics that help nurture young talents, and the #DARETODREAM initiative; AirAsia Foundation’s work with social enterprises to empower local communities; AirAsia Runway Ready Designer Search (AARRDS) to support creative talent in the region; #Green24 campaign to promote green changes within AirAsia’s own operations and inspire green action; and more.

The August issue also covers the Ama divers (a female diving community that has been around for over 3,000 years) of Ise, Japan; Rotorua, the adventure capital of New Zealand’s North Island; a pictorial on the shared culinary gems of the 10 Asean countries, in celebration of ASEAN turning 50 in August; a mini feature on the 29th SEA Games and others.

travel 3Sixty° is available on board all AirAsia flights – reaching over three million readers monthly. The magazine is also set to celebrate its 10th year this year, and will be unveiling a younger and edgier look and feel.
