GUARDIAN LAUNCHES MIXED GRAINS & OATS 30+

GUARDIAN MIXED GRAINS & OATS 30+
Barley, Oats, Chia Seed, Brown Rice

9.6 million high blood cholesterol level
6.1 million hypertension
3.5 million having diabetes
100,000 cancer
each year, reported numbers. Not counting those not reported once. And half of those living with NCD's such as diabetes and high cholesterol level are not even aware of their own health problems. It's shocking when survey done by the Health Ministry, 94% of Malaysian adults don't take enough vegetables and fruits. You need fiber folks. It's essential for a healthy balanced diet. I learned that the hard way.

I myself found out I am a high blood patient, somewhere late 2015 only (with three hospital admission in a week) and imagining it happening again, is enough to scare me all the time I have a little headache or pain in my neck. Seriously, I will go all panicky deep inside (and mind you, I am a fan of fruits and vegetables). When I found out I had these, I went on diet and all. Food intake was carefully chosen but I got worst because I didn't start the whole diet gradually. Instead I started it out like 'crash boom bang'.

When I spoke to someone who had an experience with this, then only I found out, I did it the wrong way. I started changing it gradually, then it was soon okay. Everything went back to normal routine. I didn't want to be hanging on to High Blood medication. To do so, I needed to stay healthy. You don't just eat right you need to live it right as well, my friend said.

So not just my food intake that has cut down a lot, such as Nasi Lemak, anything with Meat, or even seafood. I had to walk more, drink more and eat more oats, more leafy vegetable and had to consume more green apple. Everything else would be fine with my taste bud, but OATS ain't my favourite at all!! hahaha... So when GUARDIAN introduced their own product GUARDIAN MIXED GRAINS & OATS 30+ which is more functional, convenient and affordably priced to help Malaysians get fiber they need, I took the chance to find out more.
GUARDIAN FREE CHOLESTEROL CHECK UP
DURING LAUNCH
CHOLESTEROL CHECK
HIGH BLOOD CHECK
I knew I had high blood but what I was suprise my cholesterol was very high as well... warninggg! Tested during the GUARDIAN introduction of MIXED GRAINS & OATS 30+. Let's see...

GUARDIAN MIXED GRAINS & OATS 30+ is a
  • Nutrition and fiber-rich combination of imported Swedish Oat Bran Powder that has more than 30% oat beta-glucan (that is where the 30+ comes from)
  • Beta-Glucan is a type of soluble fiber that may help reduce blood cholesterol and stabilize blood sugar levels.
  • Its trans-fat free food, without colouring and suitable for vegetarians. Dissolves in luke-warm water for a fiber-rich drink with a pleasing roasted grain taste that helps fill you up longer.
  • Each serving contains more than 30% oat beta-glucan (soluble fiber). Amount recommended for the cholesterol lowering effect is 3 gm per day.

GUARDIAN MIXED GRAINS & OATS 30+ INGREDIENTS has 4 main ingredients

BARLEY
Enriched with soluble fiber called beta-glucan which could be found in the outer layers of the grain. Beta-glucan helps to lower cholesterol by binding to bile acids and removing them from the body via the feces. Bile acids are produced by the liver from cholesterol. When they are excreted along with barley's fiber, the liver must replenish bile acids and uses up more cholesterol, thus lowering the amount of cholesterol in circulation.

BARLEY'S fiber, potassium, folate and vitamin B6 content, coupled with its low of cholesterol - all these contents support a healthy heart. It's an excellent source of fiber, which helps lower the total amount of cholesterol in the blood.

Vitamin B6 and folate, both present in barley, prevent the buildup of a compound known as homocysteine. When excessive amounts of homocysteine accumulate in the body, it can damage blood vessels and lead to heart problems.

OATS
Beta-glucan can be found in oats as well. Beta-glucan has beneficial effects in diabetes as well. Type 2 diabetic patients who are given foods high in this type of OAT fiber or given oatmeal or OAT bran rich foods experienced much lower rises in blood sugar compared to those who were given white rice or bread.

Kick start your day with a blood sugar stabilizing food such as oats could help you to control blood sugar levels for rest of the day. OATS and other whole grains are enriched with magnesium, a mineral that plays a co-factor role for more than 300 enzymes, including enzymes in insulin secretion.

CHIA SEEDS
Is 40% fiber, by weight. This makes them one of the best sources of fiber in the world. Because of it's all the fibre in form, CHIA SEEDS can absorb up to 10-12 times their weight in water, becoming gel-like and expanding in your stomach. This should increase your fullness, slow absorption of your food and reduce your temptation to consume more calories. Fiber also feeds the friendly bacteria in the intestine, which is important because keeping your gut bugs well fed is imperative for health. CHIA SEEDS are high in quality protein, much higher than any plant foods. Protein is the most weight loss friendly nutrient that could reduce your appetite and cravings to prevent obesity.

BROWN RICE
The process that produces brown rice removes only the outermost layer without damaging to its nutritional value inside. BROWN RICE'S high magnesium content is good for your heart. Magnesium is an important mineral for regulating blood pressure and offsetting sodium in the body. Furthermore, brown rice is abundant in the phytonutrient plant lignans, which may protect against various diseases including heart disease.

The whole grain of BROWN RICE is a carbohydrate that, studies show, may actually help you lose weight or maintain a healthy weight.

The launching was presented by key speakers who are well versed in taking the right balanced meal, staying healthy, and be healthy.
